Dear IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw Finishers!

While this amazing racing day is coming to an end, we would like to thank all of you for your passion, drive and determination that have pushed you all the way to the finish line today. Congratulations to each and every one of you who made it and brought the enormous positive energy to Warsaw. You all proved that #AnythingIsPossible. Thank you!

However, we also regret to inform that we experienced some technical issues with today’s race timing which resulted in a number of athletes not having their start time identified correctly, which in turn resulted in a wrong finish time. Our team – together with the timing company – have managed to verify some of those results during the day but unfortunately we will not be able to have all the results verified by the end of the day.

Therefore, we have decided to cancel the Slot Allocation ceremony today. The 45 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship slots allocated to our event will be awarded post-race in an online process. The IRONMAN team will approach athletes eligible for the World Championship slots in the upcoming day and share the details of the process by email. This will be done as soon as the race results are verified and become official.

Please accept our deepest apologies for this situation. Also, please be informed that the Awards ceremony will be held as originally planned.

Once again, apologies and please be assured we will do whatever it takes to sort the situation out as soon as possible and investigate on how to avoid similar issues on the future events.

Your IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw Team
